7-7.5mm pinky/purple button pearls with excellent lustre.
When looking at high quality, natural purple colour freshwater pearls like these you can see how the wonderful lustre leads to an effect called ‘orient’. Orient appears in the form of a rainbow on the surface of the pearls, a bit like seeing oil on water. This is as a result of the reflected light passing back through the nacre, diffracting and showing the different colours of the spectrum.
Shown here as a 16’’ pearl necklace, this piece is also available in 18’’, giving you the opportunity to choose just the right fit.
